What to know before contributing your voice.
What happens to my recording?
Accepted recordings are encrypted, kept private during the research, and never released as a public voice dataset.
Do I need a professional microphone?
No. A phone or computer microphone is enough. A quiet room and a clear recitation matter most.
Can I share an existing recitation?
Yes, as long as you recorded it yourself or have permission to share it without copyright restrictions.
Is this a paid contribution?
No. Contributions are voluntary and support private Quran research for the ummah.
What makes a good recording?
Recite at a steady pace, keep the microphone close, and avoid background noise, echoes, or music.
How is my privacy protected?
Your audio is encrypted before it leaves your device and stored privately for research. Access is restricted, human evaluation is gender-matched and short-lived, and raw recordings are never published publicly.
Does my recitation have to be correct?
Please try to recite correctly and avoid clear lahn jali. However, contribution is open to everyone. You do not need to be a professional qari or have perfect tajweed.
